I've worn my Marathon JDD every day for the past 3 years and it has performed phenomenally well. Looks good, extremely durable and reliable.When I first received the watch (as a gift) I didn't know much about the company, but I recently bought a nylon nato strap from them and the service was fantastic!Really friendly, professional people and a joy to deal with. Now I recommend their watches every chance I get.Couldn't be happier with their products and services. Thanks Marathon and keep up the great work!

I own a Marathon Automatic Divers Watch (aka GSAR) that is almost 11 years old. After more than a decade of use, the threads of the case tube/crown had stripped which prevented the crown from securing tightly to the case. It had also been a while since my GSAR had been cleaned, oiled, and adjusted so I emailed Marathon's Watch Service Department and asked them about repairing and servicing it.A friendly and helpful response to my email came from Joe Jung, who is Marathon's Watch Specialist. Joe clearly and politely explained what the repair would most likely entail and gave me a rough estimate. He asked me to fill out Marathon's Service Order Form, print it and include it the box with my watch if I decided to send it to them.As for sending my GSAR to Marathon - please be aware that if you are in the United States and are sending a watch to Canada it will have to go through a customs/border checkpoint. A distribution/forwarding company in the Northeastern U.S. will keep your watch moving but you will have to possess a certain amount of sangfroid. This is because it takes approximately 3-4 weeks before Marathon can confirm the receipt of your watch at their office.Once Marathon receives your watch Joe will call you to review your Service Order Form. He will ask you if there's anything else you want done to your watch in case you may have forgotten to write it down. A few days later you will be provided with an estimate and asked to agree to it before work begins. I appreciated and welcomed Joe's phone call to confirm what I wanted done to my watch. The process exemplifies Marathon's focus on customer satisfaction.As for my GSAR - When it was returned to me after about 15 weeks it looked brand new! The case tube and crown had been replaced and a complete maintenance service had been done. The workmanship was excellent and I am pleased to have the watch back on my wrist.When your watch needs service be sure to give Marathon a call. They do superb work!

These watches are not cheap. Well maybe they are for some people but $1500+ USD is a lot of money for me. I came across some money that made this watch affordable to me and decided to splurge. I purchased from an authorized dealer instead of the grey market.I was disappointed to see that the bezel cutout for the lume was sloppy. I reached out to Marathon twice to express my concern and was told that it was not a problem. Maybe I got a bad one but I am very surprised that this is deemed acceptable even after bringing it to their attention.Oddly, the phrase Marathon watches combine military durability with Swiss engineering and craftsmanship to ensure the highest level of quality and precision." was recently removed from their website's "About Us" statement."

Love these watches. Still running a CSAR and a GSAR. Once you go tritium you'll never look back. Really like these watches. The support staff is also super accommodating if you ever need to send a watch in for service / lubrication.

Bought a watch from marathon and after less than 8 months one of the tritium tubes came lose in the case. Brought it to their office where they took it to send it to Switzerland for repairs. Did not receive a receipt of the drop off and they cannot find records of the watch i dropped off. So now I have no watch and a very bad taste in my mouth regarding this company. Don't buy their watches and don't get your watches services by.

I had ordered a GSAR online after eyeing one for the better part of a year. It came after a few days and the presentation was amazing, nice box, catalogues, and of course , the watch. However, my particular model had a bezel that was not aligned properly. I immediately contacted Marathon and sent the watch in for repair. Joe Jung at Marathon took care of my concerns from day one and the end result is an absolutely perfect GSAR that I can keep for many years now.I do wish the quality control could be stepped up a bit to catch these issues before they get sent to the consumer. Their customer service is impeccable which made up for an initially bad experience. Turning it into a fantastic one.
